Opportunity / Challenge —For what projects/services did your company hire Vero HR?

We don’t have an internal HR function and we needed advise on how to best handle staffing matters and to ensure we are fully covered with regard to UK employment law. More recently we’ve used their recruitment services for two roles.

Solution — How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

I was recommended Vero HR from another business owner who had successfully completed outsourcing all of their HR function to Vero HR.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

We were onboarded onto their HR platform Cezanne, which serves as a portal for all staff to access everything HR and pay related. The Vero HR team then assisted with creating a tailored employee handbook and policies specific for our needs. Ongoing we use them on an ad-hoc basis for support with staff training, personal development plans, disciplinary actions and employees residing outside the UK, among other things.

We’ve used their recruitment services to hire an Operations Manager and a Marketing Manager. This was facilitated via their recruitment platform, which made the process of managing the influx of CV’s and shortlisting candidates significantly easier.

Vero HR took the initial screening calls, based on our criteria, and performed background checks.  Once the interview process was complete and we made an offer, the contractual and onboarding process was seamlessly handed over to the HR function.

We have a dedicated HR Advisor, Payroll Manager and Talent Acquisition Manager

Results & Feedback—Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

We now have a HR portal as well as a dedicated HR point of contact that all staff can use for any question they may have. As a business owner I now have peace of mind that our staff are fully supported and that we are fully compliant with all statutory obligations.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Vero HR are extremely responsive to any query either via email, phone, or video call. Because all staff can access Vero HR directly, they feel like just another member of the team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The Vero HR team have an extremely impressive level of knowledge and experience in all things HR, and are able to clearly and simply distil complex concepts into actionable advice. Since engaging with Vero HR they have assisted with a number of tricky issues which they consistently handle professionally and with integrity.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We’ve been extremely impressed with Vero HR and have had no issues.
