My journey with Vero HR started in 2021 when I joined as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator. With the encouragement of my peers, I have since achieved two promotions to my current role of Talent Acquisition Manager. Vero HR have been exceptionally supportive, with a strong emphasis on personal and professional development. The opportunity to work across such a broad range of industries and vacancies has been invaluable to my growth. I’m proud to work for such a client-centric organisation and I’m excited for my future with the Vero family.

I joined Vero HR at the beginning of 2021 as a Trainee HR Assistant, not long after I completed my CIPD Level 5 HRM Diploma. Having the opportunity to start my HR career in such a great company felt unreal in the middle of the pandemic. Since joining Vero, I gained great practical knowledge you can’t learn in school. My HR manager saw the potential in me and supported me to get into the Senior HR Assistant role. My progression continued in two areas, I noticed at the beginning of my career here, that I am tech savvy and HR technology became the 2nd part of my role while continuing my HR Assistant duties. The ‘tech bug’ got me, and here I am today as Technology Consultant within Vero Technology. Vero HR is the company where your voice is heard, and you can open your ‘career’ wings.

When I joined Vero HR in January 2017 I was an HR Administrator based in their central office supporting a number of different clients, giving me experience across many sectors in just one job. In August 2017, I was promoted to HR Advisor and placed until my next career move at a large, multinational business - one of the world's leading manufacturers. In this time I have gained vast experience in Employee Relations in a fast paced business and have also completed my level 5 CIPD which Vero supported me financially with. I have monthly one to ones with my manager and I have also attended regular coaching sessions with the founder of Vero HR who has helped me accelerate my development. A great company to build your career with in HR!

It feels like my Payroll Advisor interview was only yesterday….I am so happy that my life directed me to Vero HR. I was looking for a workplace where I could use my knowledge and gain more, where I could grow personally and professionally. And here we are… I found my place under the Vero HR sun.They take care of their employees, create an environment where you feel at home. They value and appreciate what you do for them and believe in you more than you believe in yourself.Employees are not numbers in Vero HR. We are colleagues, friends and in one word – Family.Everyday I come to work I see how this company is growing and I wish to grow with them too. I appreciate that they see my work and help me step by step to reach my vision. After 2 years working here, I am a Payroll Team Leader and I still see it is not a finish line.

When I joined Vero HR I was a newbie to HR. I found my feet working across a variety of sectors including hospitality and energy as an HR Assistant handling their administration needs, working closely with clients. When Vero HR introduced a new state of the art, HR and Payroll platform, I took an interest in HR tech and instantly felt I had found my calling. While providing HR Assistant services to my clients, I learnt the system and the functionality it offers. I now see myself as an integral part of the start-up of any new clients who adopt our software solution as well as offering support to those needing additional modules/functionality. I have regular one to ones with my manager every month and I’ve represented the company at user group meetings with our software supplier too.

I started at Vero HR providing maternity cover and here I am seven years later! I joined as an HR Advisor on a fixed term contract, co located with a client and am now a Senior HR Advisor responsible for a team member too. Vero HR have two types of role, some working on client premises with the backup of a remote line manager and others working across multiple sectors/clients travelling around the UK. What suits me best is the type of role based with a client but even then, I have worked across a variety of sectors, from not for profit to manufacturing. Each time, I have taken on broader and more varied roles, but what makes it different from a normal HR career is that I haven’t had to change my employer once, giving me the security of employment too. I’ve also been able to work on special projects, including an HR system implementation.

I joined Vero HR 5 years ago as an HR Advisor working within a local charity. After being based with this client for 2 years, I was presented with the opportunity to work within the private education sector for a year and now I am a Senior HR Advisor for a client providing environmental services. Over the last 5 years I have had the opportunity to develop my HR skills and knowledge within different sectors (either stand alone roles or with the support of an HR Assistant) and have also moved into a managerial position - all without changing my employer! It is easy to make the transition between clients, as we work to very similar policies, procedures and HR systems. Leaning on the wider HR team for support when needed provides a great benefit too, not only to us, but to our clients!

I started my Level 3 Apprenticeship in Human Resources with Vero HR in October 2019. I had recently finished school and had no previous HR experience at the time but the owners of Vero HR who interviewed me saw potential in me and gave me a chance. I wasn’t recruited on a short term apprenticeship contract or on minimum apprenticeship pay. I came into a real full time job with the support that the apprenticeship programme offered. I started in the central team under the guidance of an experienced team member before being placed into my first role on a client site. Since then I have become a qualified HR Assistant and am working within a Vero HR client that has over 350 employees. I am in no doubt that this progression is due to the supporting and knowledgeable Vero HR team, and I am really looking forward to further career progression with the company.

I joined the Vero HR team in 2017, following a 11 year career within the food/retail industry. My first role was on a client site, being the only HR team member. After a year I changed roles and became an HR Manager working remotely in the Vero HR central team, across the UK covering 12 different clients across different sectors. I started with two direct reports, which then evolved to a team of four. After successfully completing two years working in the central team, I was then promoted into a client site, full time position, covering over 3,500 employees. I now manage two direct employees, and between the three of us and the support of the Vero HR central team, we cover the HR Operations of a very well-known business.

Since I joined Vero HR as a HR Advisor in 2015, I have been promoted first to HR Manager, then to Assistant HR Director and now to HR Director. In that time I feel I have gained more experience than I would in 20 years in an in-house environment. I have worked across multiple industries on everything from complex disciplinary and grievance cases to large scale redundancies and employee engagement programmes. Vero HR’s career development and CPD opportunities are second to none.
