After completing his masters degree at university, Angus recently joined us for a day of work experience in the Vero HR office to gain an understanding of the various aspects of HR and their roles in an organisation. His enthusiasm and positive attitude to learning meant he fitted in well with the rest of the team, and it was a pleasure to have him join us. Angus shared the below reflection of his time with us.
Last Wednesday, I had the privilege of being able to spend the day with Vero HR at their Peterborough headquarters. Having just completed my masters at university this provided me with a first-hand look into what a day in the life of an HR outsourcing company could look like.
Throughout the day I was able to shadow various sectors of the business ranging from recruitment and technology to administration, witnessing how Vero helps support its client’s HR needs. The day was extremely informative and educational providing me with a valuable insight into how I could jump-start my HR career.
I would like to extend my thanks to the team for helping organise such an action-packed day, and to Mike for giving me access to the office for the day!
