Frequently asked questions

The first step in the redundancy process is to identify the reasons behind the redundancy and work out if any alternative routes are possible. Next is the consultation process, which is where we come in, followed by the selection process. Once the affected employees have been determined, the next step is to notify them, before issuing them with any relevant pay or support to help them find a new role.

That depends on how long an employee has been with your company. Those that have been with you for between one month and two years need to be given just one week’s notice, while those that have been at the company for 12 years or more need to be given at least 12 weeks’ notice.

The redundancy process can take as little as a few weeks or multiple months to complete, depending on the complexity of the situation and the number of employees affected. Regardless of the scale or complexity of your planned redundancies, our redundancy service is here to provide the support you need.
